Bodrum Blue Cruise

BODRUM BLUE CRUISE AREA

Bodrum is based on a amazing peninsula and is one of Turkey’s most spectacular resorts.  It draws its charm from the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, wide range of beautiful beaches, quaint fishing villages, and deep historical architecture.

Known by the ancient name of Halicarnassos, the town of Herodotus; Bodrum as it is called today, has grown to modernity and has its own International Airport.

The kaleidoscope of Bodrum’s cafes, restaurants and shops, not to mention the stylish and sophisticated night life, offers lots of attraction for visitors.  During the day there is a central Bazaar that is a wonderful shopping experience, with wide ranges of leather, clothes, carpets; including gifts and souvenir stalls.

By the local bus station there is a weekly market that offers up a treat of colorful local produce including tasty locally grown tangerines.

The city comes to life at night, transforming into a magical wonderland that does not sleep until sunrise.  If it is romantic settings that are being sought with harbor side dining; or evening strolls along the sea front; or going to an up-market marina for cocktails; Bodrum has something for everyone.

Bodrum offers accommodation that can suit every taste and budget around the lovely town centre.  If a more serene environment is needed, areas west of the town and hotels built in the hills towards the eastern side of the town will be more relaxing.

Gumbet

This beach is gets its name from the domed water cisterns that are dotted around the countryside nearby.  Bodrum is only ten minutes drive away from Gumbet, making it the closest beach.  Gumbet is a popular area for British tourists who choose accommodations close to the beach and then spend their evenings in Bodrum.
