Marmaris Blue Cruise
Many foreign tourists are attracted to Marmaris, as it is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Turkey. Many holiday makers return every year to this beautiful place which is a favorite for families as well as young couples. This popularity has led to a speedy growth of hotels taking up a lot of the area between the azure blue sea and the lovely green hills.
In the high season, the beach can get very busy, despite the fact that many tourists prefer to stay by the pool at the hotel. A typical Mediterranean feel radiates from the sea front, creating a perfect backdrop for an evening stroll. The streets are lined with shops, bars and restaurants.
During the day most activities are centered on the sandy strip which runs along the length of the resort. Yachts leave from the old harbor each morning for day long charters and week long cruises that take visitors to the bays and islands along the coast. A flavor of the old town character is felt around the harbor which is dominated by the ancient castle, converted into a museum now. A small footbridge takes visitors to the Netsel Marina; a state-of-the-art marina which is the biggest in Turkey. The jet-set can be seen here with luxury gulets at the moorings.
